Filament is getting stuck in the 5 way splitter on every single tube. It makes it past the cap fine, but gets stuck via friction inside the 5-way splitter.
What can be done about this? I'm using Bambu PLA basic
Sorry, i'm a little confused.
How does the 5th cable work while using the AMS lite and the mobile app?
How do i command to the machine to use the 5th spool?
we understand where to put the 5th spool. but how to integrate that with AMS so that when we have 5 color model, a1 mini and AMS know what and when to pull etc ?
Note : *You need to adjust your retraction setting.
** you have to make sure that the filament is in AMS TUBE ( only 1 filament in the hub).

***If you find that 2 or more filaments enter the Filaments Hub at the same time, please manually pull out the material at the AMS lite loading and unloading assembly.
(I have been using it for 3 months and including my own friends, there is no problem with 6 machines.)
Have you looked at the photos? There are parts you need to remove. You're the only one who can't make it work. Please check again. I use it on A1 and A1 mini.
@BblackmilkK , 1st of all I am very competent and I also know how to read & write. I'm not the only 1 having issues as you can see from the posts. Also, your pictures just show the items, they do nothing else that's why everyone is asking you questions. So, since your telling us all that you use it on 2 different printers, could you take a video of you assembling the item and showing us all how good it works? I'm sure we would all love to see it!
I'm guessing that I called you out on something you can't provide us all here. Thanks for the awesome response, guess I will look for or make a better design than this and explain & show people how it actually works instead of telling people some BS. Flaw design by a Flawed person!
would you mind showing how to disassemble the stock 4 way hub without breaking anything. I’m just apprehensive removing the top piece with the 4 bowben clips since I’ve never attempted it in fear of cracking the plastic pieces then have I’ll to buy a new one. Thanks for adding the A1 Mini profile.
Other Issues:80% of the time AMS Lite tries to push filament, it gets stuck. I like the overall model (especially being hardware-less) but I think I will go with a different design. The sharp angle in which the filament hits the join area is the issue. Make it less like a water fountain and more like a bouquet of flowers.
Filament jammed inside the AMS Lite Filament Hub.. If you find that 2 or more filaments enter the Filaments Hub at the same
time, please manually pull out the material at the AMS lite loading and
unloading assembly.
Before criticizing, you have to understand what happened. You can draw better yourself.
The filament isn’t jammed because of two filaments inside the adapter hub.
It becomes wedged against the side because the inner hole is too small and the angle of the filament after it leaves the PTFE tubes is too sharp.
My recommendation is to rotate the top half 45°, reduce the angle of the side filament “arms,” and enlarge the hole at the bottom. This would use the lower insert of the original AMS adapter hub as well.
So, if that all makes sense, it would establish a smoother entry path for the filament into the extruder.
The reason for 1 star is because of the many issues others are having, and your refusal to help. If you attempt to help instead of insulting then you would get at least 3 stars.
if you screw down on the PTFE tube too tight it will keep the filament from passing. back off the screw as it needs very little for the PTFE tube to stay in place
