I reimagined and redesigned the Sequence (5-In-A-Row) Board Game so it can be 3d printed. Sequence is a game that is played with chips, this board, and 2 decks of cards. It's a lot of fun! (link to game play instructions at end).
The board is printed in 4 sections. The sections are held together by “bowties.” Once assembled, the board measures about 15"x15" (381x381mm). The thickness of the board is 3.5mm. I have considered uploading a much thinner version, that could be glued down to a piece of hardwood - if there is interest in this, please leave a comment.
YOU MUST KEEP EACH BOARD SECTION ON THE PRINTER BED UNTIL IT COMPLETELY COOLS DOWN…otherwise the board will cup/bow, and you won't have flat pieces. If the sections aren't flat, they wont fit together nicely. I used glue on my print since the first layer has lots of little pieces in different colors - this may not be necessary for you. I did not use a brim to print, because I didnt want the black border to be ruined when removing the brim.
You will need White, Black, and Red PLA filament for this print. I have the colors in my AMS in this order: 1 - Black, 2 - Red, 3 - White. If you install the filament in this order, you won't have to recolor the file.
I have also created game chips with a carrying case that perfectly fit this board game. You can find that model here → https://makerworld.com/en/models/447166#profileId-353783
