I have had the problem, that some of my spools had a hole Diameter up to 85mm which causes the normal pastamatic axis to slip throught this hole, so I quickly designed a adapter that enables me to respool to/from this kind of spools without any problems. It's no magic, only measuring existing diameters and gradient of the pastamatic one and extended this.
