A pen case perfectly sized to transport a set of pens or pencils. This case has a series of 5x3mm magnets on the inner corners to hold the case closed and additional magnets in the exterior corners to enable stacking of similarly sized cases.

Optionally line the interior with self-adhesive felt for a soft touch feel and include an optional elastic band to prevent items from moving while in transport.

This was designed as a parametric model. Let me know if you'd like similar containers of different dimensions.

The surface finish on the top and bottom lids comes from a 3rd party textured build plate.

Magnets are installed during pauses in the print. polarity should be aligned for all magnets installed on one half, and all opposite on the other half, so they will all have the same orientation when the lid is closed.

Felt is installed with a ~95mm x ~145mm rectangle with the corners cut out as a back panel in each half. Then a 10mm x ~500mm strip is adhered around the outside gradually removing the backing, being careful to press into the back panels and the corners as much as possible, then trimming excess as it meets the starting point.

Elastic is cut to ~180mm with each end adhered to the back of one of the felt panels with the ends meeting in the middle of the adhesive back and wrapping around the front prior to installation in the box.
