Description

I made this model to be extremely easy to print and cheap to make. The plate that has the dog all together is meant for an example, but you can print that. Just note it will cost more to print that and you need to have your flush settings right.

I worked very hard on this model because the original was extremely far from user friendly. To the point I made it from scratch.

If you print it unassembled, what I did was print it with PLA and then use superglue. The type I used was the brush on type like

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0161S0T2I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What I was able to do is use one of the flames to hold the sign. But if it doesn't look right, I have made them where you it connects only to the base. It is just a little harder to glue it.

Anyways, have fun with this and do whatever you want with this model. As mention I made everything, but this site treats it as a remix so the license has to be the same as what they think it came from.

Another thing to note, the eyes are like they are because with a 0.4 nozzle I had problems with the color switching and white dots showing up on the black. At 0.2 this isn't a problem in my experience.

printed out great on my X1C used superglue for assembly. painters tape to hold the sign in place while glue set.

Good 3D modeling but not designed at all for ease of printing or ease of assembly.

What problems did you have with it?

printing it in pieces was very awkward. the pieces could be modified to have flat bottoms to be face down while printing and they would make for better surfaces to interface and glue together. printing the pieces like the eyes was awkward because they were complex curves on the bottom. Could Also add peg/hole at the interfaces for things like eyes. I ended up chopping the legs off the chair and printing in pieces instead of using supports or trying to bridge. the print came out great but it was a little clumsy to glue together.

oh also the base. it would be pretty easy to put slots in the base for each component vs relying on glue for very thin pieces. I modded a slot in the base for the sign because there was no way it would hold with just glue.
