INTRODUCTION

This is an upgrade to V1 of the FT EMS SWC. This frame was designed to help manage the electronic components required for a switchwire conversion (SKR Mini E3, Creality boards, Raspberry Pi, U2C boards etc,..). Typical conversions have you squish all these components at the rear of the printer making it tough to mount not to mention cable manage.

THE DESIGN

This frame is ideally used when converting an Ender 3 V2 to become a Voron Switchwire or Enderwire as they are sometimes referred to. 

BOM

This mod does need to be printed on a bed that is capable of printing 300mm. Since these parts are not installed in the heated chamber they can be printed in PLA/PETG but we would still recommend using ABS or ASA for overall strength and as recommended by Voron design.

All parts are oriented correctly to just slice and print without the need of supports.

Additional parts necessary are: -

1. 1 x heatset insert to hold the lid down on the cable duct
2. 1 x M3x6 BHCS screw for the cable duct lid
3. 9 x M5x10 BHCS screws to mount the frame
4. 9 x M5 T Nuts to secure the frame to the extrusions
5. 4 x heat inserts for the front 6020 fan
6. 4 x M3x8 BHCS screws to mount the front fan onto the frame mount
7. 2 x M3x20 BHCS screws to mount the frame support

FT EMS solutions all use the same size hex design. You will need to download and print the mounts you intend to use from the FT EMS Mounts Repository. We support a variety of boards from BTT SKR, BTT Manta, Mellow, Cheeta etc,… if there happens to be a board you intend to use that is not currently supported please reach out on our Discord Fizzys 3DPrinting.
