A layer height of 0.16 mm is required so that no fitting problems occur. If you have problems after printing there is a problem solving section at the main project page and extra customized models (“Troubleshooting (versions) for the standard edition”). Have fun!
Purge deflector required: Purge deflector(s)
I recommend to use an updated purge deflector version from at least 28.01.24.
Standard basket:
Deeper Standard basket:
- 52 x 100 x 50 (mm)
- Slightly more volume than the XL basket, but deeper, so you can't put another basket underneath it
Thinner Standard basket:
- 49 x 100 x 25 (mm)
- If your basket is too close to the print plate this can fix it (this problem only occurs on the A1 mini). But I recommend to make sure you print with a layer height of 0.16 mm, dry your filament and make a new flow dynamics calibration and retry the standard basket.
XL basket:
- 52 x 180 x 25 (mm)
- Slightly less volume than the deeper standard basket, but an additional basket can be placed underneath.
XXL basket:
Monster basket:
More baskets from others:
Remix a basket:
- I uploaded the standard basket as a step file in case you want to create your own basket version.
- Remixing means bigger changes, not just adding a logo, have fun!
If you are not printing with a print profile:
print without support, tolerances are designed for a layer height of 0.16mm and PLA, but other layer heights and filaments can also work well.
Vibration noise information:
You can use the printable TPU mat, a piece of rubber, folded paper or fabric to virtually eliminate vibration noise from the poop in the basket, I used some adhesive strips under the piece to attach it. When printing with specific sideways movements, a vibrating noise can occur when the poop lightly touches the side wall. This is least likely to happen with a rubber base, alternatively the wall can also be covered with the aforementioned pieces.
How to print TPU mats and TPU inserts with walls:
- You can use the provided print profile or edit your own
- 0.16mm layer hight than edit the strength section:
- 6 Walls (you can play with that, one loop should be 0.16mm wide)
- 0 (zero) Top shell layers
- 6 bottom shell layers (you can play with that, one layer is 0.16mm high, so 6 layers are 0.96mm high)
- Sparse infill density 10% Honeycomb (you can play with both settings, maybe 15% Gyroid with only 4 bottom shell layers is more silent)
If you like my work, please feel free to support it with a small tip, I can never have enough filament and good coffee to help me with prototyping: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dubios or https://ko-fi.com/dubios
