I want to clarify that I am not the original designer of this hook. The design was created by Jack, who generously released it into the Public Domain. Utilizing the file he published, I have adapted and generated hooks in various sizes and widths, ranging from 12mm to 30mm. Specifically, the 15mm version of the hook was rigorously tested and proved capable of supporting a load of 4 kg without any issues, using Sunlu PLA Meta filament. However, it's important to note that I have not conducted tests for heavier loads. Based on its design, I believe this hook is not intended for more demanding tasks, and I do not plan to use it for heavier workloads. If you intend to use this hook for any valuable items, I strongly recommend conducting your own tests to ensure its safety and reliability.
The hook is designed in such a way that it does not require supports or brims, provided that your print bed is properly cleaned. It's advisable to avoid using brims, as they might interfere with the hook's mechanism. For optimal results, I recommend printing this hook with a layer height of 0.16mm or less. The hooks depicted in the photos were printed at a layer height of 0.16mm, demonstrating the level of detail and functionality achievable at this setting.
