Sorry to hear you had this issue, though it is very improbable to be a problem with the model. Likely there was poor bed adhesion, and some of the unstuck filament was carried around by the nozzle, blocking more filament and causing the big lump. Ideally between every print you should try and clean your bed, but especially for this type of print due to the parts with small surface areas (making the clean bed really important for adhesion). I recommend IPA or warm water + dish soap.

The other possibility that comes to mind from your picture is a partial nozzle clog - another thing look into if you're doing any troubleshooting. If it happens again on another model it's possible something is stuck in the hotend (dirt or dust on filament, or other impurities). Though in a lot of cases this can sort of resolve itself when the filament is drawn out of the print head and the imputiy goes with it. Hope you get to the bottom of your issues!
