Designed to introduce some order to my favorite, and most-used writing utensils.
It's designed to hold four Sharpies, a pencil (Palomino Golden Bear), a Sharpie highlighter, a Sharpie gel pen, and a Lamy Safari. The holes are shaped to signal which item goes where, but allow enough clearance that they could fit something else similarly sized if needed.
I designed this as 50mm deep, 50 mm wide, and 100mm tall - I'm working on a system of desk organizers that fit on a 50mm grid, and hope that this will fit with it nicely.
As with the other things I'm designing for this project, I wanted some added weight towards the bottom - in BambuStudio, I used the ‘Height Range Modifier’ to set the first 10mm to 50% infill, and then the remaining layers to 10%. The piece in my photo is printed in Bambu Labs marble PLA.
I'm hoping to have this as part of a larger ‘system’ of organization for my desk at work, with plans to make spaces for my other most-used things - including a small pad of paper, scissors, tape, a stapler, a few self-inking stamps, post-it notes, business cards, earbuds, wallet, and keys. If you'd like to adapt this to your own writing utensils, you can find the model in OnShape here.
