Description

🤯 Have a lot to do? Try to organize it all with a brain dump – get your tasks on paper so you can prioritize and visualize them with this productivity tool!

IDEAS ON HOW TO USE THESE BOARDS

I designed this board to fit nicely on a desk to display items prominently, yet compactly. This is a sleek and versatile design that can be used in a variety of ways – here are a few ideas.

Prioritized backlog

Keep your backlog prioritized and visible (i.e. in your face) to help you keep focus on finishing the highest priority items first.

  • Write out all the items you need to do, order them by priority, and keep the stack of prioritized items on the bottom.
  • Fill the 3 slots (top to bottom) with cards from the top of this stack of prioritized items.
  • Focus on these (ideally top to bottom) – as you complete them, remove the cards from the board and celebrate getting things done! (Sustainability tip: Consider reusing these cards – are the tasks generic or routine?)
  • Shift the cards up to fill in empty slots and continue tackling your backlog.

Modular task board

Use multiple boards side-by-side to form a task board with as many “columns” as you need. The setup and use is similar to the prioritized backlog idea, but it allows for multiple steps in the process.

Some key differences on how to use multiple boards:
  • Stack the cards on the bottom of the leftmost board.
  • As items progress, move them to the corresponding board.
  • Once an item is done, store the card on the bottom of the rightmost board.
  • Review this stack of completed cards and celebrate all that you've accomplished!

NOTES

Great way to use up your outdated business cards and business cards you've collected from networking events.

Blank business cards can be purchased online – multi-color packs are great for color-coding items!
