Description

This is the new and very much improved version of the BC-304 class from the show Stargate. Originally I intended to release it as a remix of the original one, but the changes are quite large so I decided to post it as an entirely new model, which it is.

The model is redesigned to be much more screen accurate. It also features nice addon - working hangar bay doors revealing the entire hangar area. The roof of the hangar is also removable so you can display it also with the fleet of F-302s very nicely visible. It also has the placket with the ships name in correct place and it is done in such a way that the placket is interchangable. So If you do not like my ARES 06, you can use DAEDALUS 02, ODYSSEY 03, APOLLO 04 or HAMMOND 05.

Another big - and main - change is the way the model is divided into the kit. It is now much more simpler, consisting of much less parts. And the entire assembly is way more simple.

The F-302 is unfortunatelly too small and delicate so it is not suitable for FDM printing. Here you really need SLA printer, otherwise you have to skip them as printing them from FDM printer is impossible in my oppinion.

As before, this is a kit so no glue needed at all. For even easier assembly, watch the following video:

Hope you like it. Happy printing ;)

Hi Martin, firstly absolutely love the Stargate designs you have created! They are beautifully created and clearly had a lot of care put in to them. I want to print some but I am completely new to 3D printing, i downloaded the SLT files but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to import them into the bambu slicer? Also a number of your projects reference a link to a video but no link is present.

hello. well regarding the video, dread, I did not notice. it seams the importer here is not as good as I thought. In that case please, my main site is printables. There you will find everything in order when it comes to the links to the videos. Asfor your question about slicer: I have no idea about that as I do not use the bambu slicer and never even seen it. They are normal stl files, they should be easily openable in any slicer so if they are not in the bambu lab, I have no idea why and cannot really help you. sorry.

Martin, I couldn’t wait to finish it to give you a review. You should win an award for how well designed, detailed and thought out your, especially this one, models are. I’ve always wanted this model and my only lost chance was Eaglemoss and Master Replicas but this is much bigger and detailed and cheaper than having bought from them. I wanted to thank you, because of you there are many 3d printers out there enjoying your hard work. I don’t know how to thank you.

Printing this for my son, who is a big fan of Stargate Atlantis. Great model, thanks. Will post a photo when my son puts it together.
