That’s rough, though it looks like the print failed pretty early on. White pla is probabbly the hardest color to print due to the titanium dioxide used for the coloration. If you get a chance, try again but make sure to clean the build plate with ipa, use a more forgiving print color (black is probabbly the easiest) and if you have recently upgraded firmware make sure to run a calibration. Also, make sure you are not over riding the print speed using sport mode etc. Guessing you are using Bambu labs pla and their filament profile. if not, spend time dialing in your filament settings as these machines print so fast it’s easy to get under extrusion and filament layers that aren’t high enough in temp to get good layer adhesion. Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it a ton. I’ll try those suggestions later and keep you updated once it finished. I am still early to printing and most likely this was user error.
Sounds good and happy to help! Everyone is new at some point so no worries. Besides, It’s great seeing 3d printing growing with lots of new people entering the hobby and companies
like Bambu labs bringing printers to market that are forcing pretty much every other company to step up their game :)
Lovely model and fun print, after a quick video tutorial was easy enough to start learning. Author did a great job on the model! Did create a custom print profile to make it easier to print using a decent pla+ or tough PLA (used cc3d grass green pla+ but bambu tough pla should work even better). With the uploaded print profile, added more walls, slowed down wall speeds, increased infill and was able to print without supports. Thanks!
Glad to help and your model making is fantastic! The attachments showing the design of the Xiao are really really neat. Love to see music and arts represented in the 3d printing community. Hopefully this message translated ok. Anyway have a great day and keep up the awesome work, Thanks!
很高兴能帮上忙,你的模型制作太棒了!展示肖设计的附件真的很整洁。喜欢在3D打印社区中看到音乐和艺术。希望这条消息翻译正常。无论如何,祝你今天过得愉快,继续努力,谢谢!
Reprinted this with supports (on interface) and it turned out great! The brim near the mouth piece was a bit tricky to get off but I was able to remove it eventually!
I printed this right from the app, I did not change any of the preset settings. it turned out great, the pieces fit together nicely and the instrument works. The settings in the file gave my regular PLA a matte finish so that was pretty neat.
