Description

Lot of diffusers to reduce the points of light emitted by IP20/IP30 LED strips.

I use them on shelves and places where the LED strip is visible. I mainly use natural white PLA+ because it is the most balanced to allow light to pass through and diffuse it. The transparent is more for protection and elegance than for blurring.

I have added a V2 version with small curvatures in the thin clips so that diffusers can be added. These will remain anchored without the need for additional external clips.

NOTE: For the first tests I recommend only using the “TEST” 5cm sections, then you can print the 20cm sections and join them during installation with the clips.

So far I have not had a problem with heat since I use low density LED strips, but if you decide to use these diffusers with high density LED strips, take into account the melting temperature of the material you will print with so that there is no warping over time.

NOTE: Be aware of the temperature generated by the LED strip that can build up inside the tube and warp it. There are LED strips with high density and voltage that could exceed the melting point of the material.

In this case, I recommend printing in PETG.

Believe me: I have seen LED strips that reach 60 degrees in temperature and with 2 LED strips inserted in PLA and at maximum

performance it is very likely that this will end very badly.

If you already have other LED strips installed directly and want to add diffusers, I recommend that you see the design of my type of diffusers with IP68 clips:
