Description

Summary

Adapter to attach D36 hose to D27 hose. Check out my profile, I have other Festool hose adapters as well.

Uses the dimensions of original Festool retainer and snap rings, so these can either be printed or you can use your own if you have these.

Resolution:

Infill:

50

Filament:

Generic PBT and ABS/ASA/PLA/PETG

Notes:

D36_to_D27.stl:

This should be printed with support touching buildplate either as is or rotated upside down. I had good success with ABS or ASA due to the ease of support removal, but you could potentially print in your preferred material such as PLA or PETG.

retainer.stl:

This should be printed with the threaded part upwards. Now available in version without requirement of support. ABS worked perfectly for this, but you could potentially print in your preferred material such as PLA or PETG. Make sure that the thin lip on the inside rim gets printed properly as this will mate with the vacuum hose.

snap_ring.stl:

I have found that the snap ring should be printed in a semi-flexible material, otherwise it will break the layer adhesion. PBT worked perfectly due to strong layer bonding. I would assume Nylon would be good too. I tried with PETG and ABS, which both snapped, but were still usable if care was taken.
