Description

I adapted an old design of mine, so I could use the wheels for different spool sizes and diameters. Just print two wheels and the center piece you need. I provided diameters of 20mm or 42mm.

If the provided inserts don't fit the small spools you have, just adjust the central axis and make your own inserts. The hexagonal shape provides the tension needed for the spools to turn properly in the AMS.

Works like a charm in the AMS. Designed for minimal filament use.

Try it at 0.2mm layer height, 0.12 if you feel wary.

Great Size model. Unfortunately the design of the center section is VERY flimsy and broke while trying to put together. :( This would be PERFECT if you could do this as a screw type design. When you do PLEASE let me know I need it ASAP. Cheers

What resolution did you print it at? I'll give another connection type a look, but it won't be very soon. If you decide to make your own, please link it here. :)

New to printing so whatever the setting that where set. All good it's just feedback thought since you did such a great job of the design.

Other Issues:my spools are very loose and it needs a better way to clip together, either via threadings or some other clip, I may work on modifying the spinal core diameter

Didn't actually work. Roll just rolled around on it when retracting so it couldn't retract. Design had nice tight allowances, you wouldn't be able to get them back out again though. PTEG .2 layer height .4 nozzle.

where are the center parts? I think I just wasted hours because I printed the outside without noticing that's all there is

Seems like it will print just fine, but I had a machine issue due to the filament and user error and never finished the whole thing.

somewhat hard to get inside “nut” to fit/stay put. Nice idea though.

Missing Model Parts:There are no center parts and the outside pieces are now garbage unless this gets updated. I don't know how to model or I'd create them to save the wasted time and filament.
