There are a lot of aftermarket gear knobs available but I couldn't find any that worked and looked almost standard with the lift to reverse mechanism so I've replicated the internals of the original shifter so this fits and works exactly the same as the original VW shifter. It also uses the VW shift pattern cap.

100% infill to add a nice weight to the gear knob.

Print in ABS or ASA due to the extremes temps this will face in a vehicle.

Simply unclip the cap off your original knob.

Unscrew the torx bolt and remove the knob.

Remove the spring from either the knob or the lift to reverse collar and fit it into the new knob.

Push the knob firmly onto the shaft and insert the original bolt and tighten.

Then replace the shift pattern cap (Mine is firmly attached just by pushing on but could use some tape to attach)
