This model was one of the first practical 3D prints I made in my new studio. The studio has a large front window with a treatment including a large and disintegrating vertical blind system. Except for the track, which is in great condition, the plastic blinds had aged yellow and many had started to break at the top clip.
Instead of replacing the vertical blind plastic, I opted for a lighter, cheaper and more translucent solution by using inexpensive, sheer shower curtains. This clip print allowed me to use the vertical bling hardware hanger and adapt the shape to shower curtain hole. The 2 part design allowed me to make one ‘clip’ assembly from 2 parts and repeat this easily with a printer, as I would need 12 for each curtain and 24 sets altogether.
