Description

This is a download of the esun spool available here Model download - eSUN 3D Printing Materials which was a corrupt file on their website so I got them to email it to me. This is a share not a remix. It will allow you to print it without the RAR unpacking and the filemame being in Chinese. These work great. there are remixes available but they fit in the AMS.

This works a lot better if you put a pin through one of the holes this stops the outer from slipping on the reel and causing spaghetti. A pin which fits this without resizing is available here

Great adapter. However you must have a AMS lid extension, since the spool becomes bigger and has difficulties retracting filament

thanks for the comment- it’s tight on my ams but I don’t use a lid adapter on the esun. it just fits - it’s definitely worth checking is seated on rim all the way round though.

I seated them all the way. I believe I have a new version that has tighter space for spools. It worked with closed AMS lid but had trouble retracting filament. The AMS had strength to pull but for retraction it didn’t have strength to rotate the spool. Anyway the print is great 👍

hi thanks again for your comment - i just checked the dimensions of this and it seems that it’s very very tight to the size of the cardboard spool ie not much room to play with. they definitely fit in my AMS I’m wondering if the tolerance on my prints was on the minus side of the dimensions and yours the other way. I had a little play at reducing the size by .2mm but even that caused thickness issues in the main bit of the rim. my prints were on its long side, centred, on a gold pei sheet using pla . thanks again for your feedback.

The Adapter ist too weak. it should be tighter and more ridged so it won't come off during printing.

thanks for your comment- did you push the edges right under the rims at the tabs, also if it’s sliding you can print the little pin which is linked in the description. I disagree that it’s too weak, it definitely needs putting on properly.
