Description

Due to the loss of interest to this windmill project… if anyone wants to continue, here you can download 3D models.

Turbine height 625 mm, diameter 300mm.

Aluminum rods length 135mm, diameter 10 mm.

Main shaft 24 mm.

Bearing SKF6006.

I think these could benefit from adaptive layer height at the least I've printed one full blade and will fiddle with this further before attempting to create a working won't generator. my goal is to connect a nema 17 stepper motor I've salvaged from my old 3d printer.

These printed well using a Bambù x1 carbon printer and standard PLA with PLA support. I think next time I’ll try using the same filament for the blade and support, to decrease the print time. However, separating this batch was really easy. I’m thinking that sanding, a couple coats of primer, more sanding, and a couple coats of paint would get better performance and look better too.
