Where a full/mostly full spool can unwind due to the gantry movement at the start of a print. The filament gets wrapped around the arm and then causes a jam.so you need tension holder prevent it.

The spring loaded tension holders can be bought separately from the ams, so you have a tentioned holder.

Caution:

After printing, please fold it first to see if it is strong.Bad and wet filament will be weak.

Clean the brim and put some greace on the thread.Will make your installation smoother.

Works fantastic! Thanking you kindly :) Print will fail @ 90-95% on Mini, unless your lucky though? The last few layers really vibrate the machine, aka, the hexagonal part, thus the supports may be not good enough to withstand this, as was my case on first print, as supports are weak. Add 'brim' 10 line to model, select 'strong' tree supports (instead of 'normal'), and increase bed temp to 70, and it will all go great :) No difference in breaking these off, as I have tried both :) Thanks again, as it all works wonderfully x

Awesome part! I had some trouble getting mine to fit the spool holder arm. I know PETG was recommended, so I don't know if this was because of the filament I used (PolyLite Starlight Neptune PLA). Probably. Anyway, I had to sand mine quite a bit and file the inside of the + shape to get it to slide on. My first print broke while I was trying to pull it back off of the arm. Locking tab snapped right off on both prints during installation. I'm assuming due to the characteristics of the material.

Works nicely. While I do have an AMS lite, I'm space-constrained on the mini, so just using this. With that said, I don't have much experience in these spools, but I have managed to pull the Bambu spool adapter off the stand once or twice - probably a user-error, so I now push on the black part + spool to release the spools.

Printed with Bambu PLA Tough filament. Feels very strong and looks sleek. I also bought the spoolholder as a replacement which came in two parts. So I did not have to pull the original apart and I could still swap back for incompatible spools. Not sure I will though, this definitely feels like an upgrade.
