Description

The Manual Material System is made to fit 4 x Filament spools.

Each spool can be manually fed through one of the four corresponding holes, through the internal Filament Duct where it protrudes out one single exit point at the rear of the Manual Material System. From there the filament feeds directly into your printers extruder.

The manual Material System is designed to work with the Oosh Proto Filament Spool holders that have smooth bearings integrated into them for each filament spool. This design allows a significantly low friction point between the spool holder and the filament spool so your printer is doing less work and is subjects to less wear and tear on its mechanical parts such as the buffer or extruder/hotend.

Below the Manual Material System there are 5 x Bambu Lab build plate draws to keep your build plates protected and all in order with an additional 2 x side drawers for miscellaneous tools and consumables.
This Material Management System is designed to fit perfectly on top of the Bambu Lab X1C, P1P and P1S. (Or beside your pinter on your desktop)

 

There are various spool holder sizes availible to download on ou rdesign page that fit into the top of the buildplate holder.


It is also designed as part of our modular storage system so our Manual Material System will lock in place on top of the Oosh Proto build plate storage if you're printing without the AMS and plan to us our Material Management System onto of your printer.

We used TPU95A for the feet so it will stay in position on the Bambu Lab glass top

(We also think this looks aesthetically pleasing next to your Bambu Lab printer or next to you on your desktop)

it’s a real time to be alive when some jerk-off rates a print profile 1 star because they couldn’t reposition a part. Then re-submits a print profile to earn internet points, that translates to real dollars. Just a showerthought. With regard to the MMS, the print is great. some thought has to be given, which may be slightly more arduous than imagining what it’s like to be a slice of cheese.

With regard to changes: - I used the feet from Oosh's original plate holder, which raised to the level of the mid body feet. This model only includes "innies". - I printed the TPU parts but inserted them upside down. When adding glue to a textured plate, it drops the shine, which I liked. - The orientation is easier to do with the center piece, moving the sides to ensure even spacing, during glue up. - Mate black is unforgiving. Some thoughts: - I want to try printing in pla-cf or carbon fiber plate. - Glueing should be done from the underside to control the squeeze out.

Tried to print plate 16, but it failed. Honestly not sure why it's oriented the way it is, it makes 100% sense for it to have failed. It would require supports... or a much better solution, just flip the thing.. Gonna upload my own profile once I've fully printed it in order to comply with bambu's ToS..

it printed 100% perfectly for me with the profile provided as you can see in the images I’ve also provided. Sorry it hasn’t worked for you. did you try changing up some print settings first?

nope, printed straight from the handy app. if you look at plate 16 you can see it's orientation makes no sense. why have overhang there if you can just flip it instead. that would solve the issue there atleast

I agree. The model orientation makes no sense and has it printing in air for the outer walls. I will just flip the model if I print this.

And now please design a lid so that the filament is packed airtight :) Then I wouldn't buy an AMS anymore.

Could you just use a Ikea Samla box, opening face down? If yo would be great to have the TPU inlays in the top plate fitted for that...

It's a cool design. I printed it, looks good. but you can't really put it on top of your printer. The front lid on the glass that you use to take the glass off with is in the way of the build plates. So you can't take out your build plates unless you move the entire piece every time. I ended up just moving it elsewhere near my printer

hi there, I put my storage box toward the back of the printer so they line up and the rear. You can see in the images where I locate mine toward the back. you do have to slightly curve the plate up as it goes in or out but you won’t have to move the whole unit this way. hope that helps. 😊

I know, I did the same. but I dont like curving up my buildplates when taking them out as it will scratch the buildplates. I might try printing thicker TPU offsets to put under it to see if that works

My printer arrives tomorrow. I was looking at the other project for a MMS here in makeworld, but this design is just something...and easier to build. I was wondering, have you designed this to use tubes for the filaments or just the holes to guide it ? is it safe for the filaments to rub on the plastic ? sorry for the questions, just making sure I everything I need to print this

hi there, that’s exciting! yes you can use this without any additional parts the filament runs through the printed ducts so you don’t need any tubes for it.
