Description

I've designed this toy ratchet/socket wrench for my 7y old son.

The driver use a print in place friction spring that simulates the distinct clicking sound and feel of a real ratchet wrench.

6 different socket sizes are provided. The sockets click in place by a 2nd friction spring on the driver's socket interface.

The back assembly of the driver should friction fit but can be glued into the front assembly of the driver.

All parts should be printed using supports.

This looks great but there are only 3 pieces that show up in the slicer. Could you post the rest? I might need to use this while my 4 year old has the real one to help me work on my car.

Hello, the print profile wasn't created by me. Please rate the profile if you think it's not sufficient. Unfortunately I have no way at the moment to remove bad or incomplete profiles. I recommend downloading the files without using the print profile. This allows you to add them all in the slicer.

really sweet concept but had fitment issues for the knob on the back of the ratchet. doesn't click in or even fit close enough to glue together

doesn’t include all the pieces, certain areas require support while others don’t

the bottom side of the mechanism needs support. it was very stringy and mangled. also the retention clip for the socket immediately broke.

Other Issues:the support material was difficult to remove and caused a part to break. it printed rough in some areas with PLA that I used on other projects with no issue.
