Description

This is the 12 hole Ocarina designed by nimaid, calibrated by RobSoundtrack and cleaned up by TheRapidPro. Very easy to remove supports. Just print and start playing. Main profile is set to 25% infill which is sufficient for a playable ocarina. I've found that 100% infill just feels nicer in the hand.

Note: Main picture is one I printed with the seam set to “Aligned” instead of “Back”. The uploaded profile is correct and will not put seams on the front face.

Plays surprisingly well for something this easy and fast to print! The collar does have a weird issue where the tip doesn't want to print part of the last layer or so. It's just a little nag though, the geometry looks solid and you wouldn't notice unless you looked close. I would love to see a version with compensation for sag in the holes a bit as they're slightly off round, maybe it'd help get the high notes, but for someone who just wants to mess around this is pretty great!

Pretty sure my printer is the issue but the ocarina doesn't work right. Have to plug at least 2 holes for it to make noise. Other than that its great!

I have the same issue. My B isn't clean and it fails to play anything higher than that. I would not recommend this for anyone who wants an actual instrument. It's great as a decorative piece, but that's it.

Great model. Sound is spot on. Will be a great present to give away to a fan. Printed it 90 degrees to lower swings from the bed on the A1 mini and set the speed back to 50% otherwise mu bedslinger would let it fly midway :)
