Description

This modular LED lighting kit is designed to be able to use an LED strip inserted in a circular profile so that it looks very elegant floating in space. Inserting the LED strip on both sides expands the amount of light and effects.

Each size kit includes wall brackets, joining rings and end plugs. You can print everything you need. The included tubes are assembled together solidly, but due to the small contact surface it is not advisable to leave the joint without any protection on the outside. For this, supports and rings can be used.

The length of the tube sections included is:

  • 3cm: Recommended for TEST with your LED strip and for small extensions of the installation.
  • 15cm: I designed this small intermediate adaptation to be able to print it on my small Ender 2 PRO and it is really the version that I use the most.
  • 25cm: Take advantage of the Z axis as much as possible and with 4 of them you already complete one meter of installation. Being so tall and such a thin structure, I include a set of 4 tubes with intermediate joints that reduce vibrations in high layers.

Tolerances are perfectly adjusted in both the profiles and the end caps. In the case of the wall supports, they are designed to be used covering the assembly between profile and profile. If you need to add more wall supports, you will need to compensate so it doesn't wobble.

Remember: Due to the different types of IP20/30 LED strips that exist on the market, I recommend that you first use the "TEST" model of each size to check that your LED strip can be inserted correctly.

I use eSUN's normal white PLA+ and translucent PETG and TPU, which allows very good transparency for this type of diffusers.

NOTE: Be aware of the temperature generated by the LED strip that can build up inside the tube and warp it. There are LED strips with high density and voltage that could exceed the melting point of the material.

In this case, I recommend printing in PETG.

Believe me: I have seen LED strips that reach 60 degrees in temperature and with 2 LED strips inserted in PLA and at maximum performance it is very likely that this will end very badly.
