How I print on X1C

  1. Start print with Black
  2. Print will pause at the start of layer 51, Hit “close” on pause pop up screen. Filament > unload. After unloading go to temperature screen and set nozzle to 220. Insert WHITE filament and manually extrude until pure white. Hit resume print.
  3. Print will pause at the start of layer 54, Hit “close” on pause pop up screen. Filament > unload. After unloading go to temperature screen and set nozzle to 220. Insert YELLOW filament and manually extrude until pure white. Hit resume print.
  4. Print will pause at the start of layer 56, Hit “close” on pause pop up screen. Filament > unload. After unloading go to temperature screen and set nozzle to 220. Insert RED filament and manually extrude until pure white. Hit resume print.

Update: 2023/11/10 I removed pikachus right hand (the little yellow bit by the pom pom) and offset the vertical piece more to the right and change it from 10mm wide to 5mm wide to make it less obvious. Thickened the white part so there's 3 layers to help block the infill below.

Only scale on X & Y axis, Scaling Z while make the pauses wrong. The back is 10mm thick and with the color changes its 11.2 thick overall

The whole thing is 200mmx200mm on the build plate

Next time I'd suggest to flip the part upside down and use textured PEI for good first layer finish. I was a bit dissapointed when I realized that :(

You can't flip it and still do no ams colour change. The colour change is 0.2mm steps in layer height on the top few layers, If you flipped it you'd need support material...

Replying to @SJW5135 :
Hope it all makes sense now. I flipped it and cut so there is no need to use support material. Have a good one :)
