Description

The Dice Capsule is a storage container for 8 dice up to 25mm diameter. Just rotate the base between the magnetically locked open and closed positions to open the dice capsules. The magnetic locks ensure it won't open by accident.

To print:
• Check your printer can achieve good accuracy. I recommend the use of this over/under extrusion test - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1622868
• Print eight capsules with a small layer thickness and with good cooling. There's some large overhangs, but nothing that should need support. I use 0.15 and slow the print down for the overhangs to allow for adequate cooling.
• The lid, middle and base sections should be easy prints. They are already oriented for printing.

To assemble:
• Remove the "wings" from the capsules and make sure the base of each capsule is smooth so that it can rotate easily. Sidecutters and a small file work well here, although you can also just tear off the bottom few layers of the print.
• Glue magnets into the middle and base parts. Make sure they are aligned to attract, rather than repel.
• Place the capsules in the lid
• Align the middle with the lid using the notches and glue into place. A drop of glue on each of the 4 alignment nubs works well. Make sure the middle and lid are well secured before the next step of the magnets may break the glue bond.
• Align all the capsules the same direction. I usually align them open as it's easiest to see they are all facing the same way.
• Align the lid and base together with the notches. Double check the capsule alignment, and push the lid and base together. They should click together.
