Description

This modification allows you to add an air purifier to the top of your X1C, P1P, or P1S. I saw the Ikea air purifier mod by @Litowelt but I like Govee products because I can remotely control them. The Ikea air purifier doesn't have remote capabilities. Also, having the Ikea on top would reduce chamber temperature and I print a lot of ABS/ASA and I want a higher chamber temperature (spoiler, my mod unfortunately doesn't keep in heat either). I used this vent riser from @RockChewer and decided to integrate the Govee air purifier into that.

Basically, I just built the vent chamber around RockChewer's design, and my air purifier plugs into his vent holes. So to use my purifier design, you'll need to download his vent riser.

I am using the Govee Mini Air Purifier but it would work for any cylinder purifier with some adjustments to height and diameter to make sure you enclose the air intake portion of the device. I made a video of the chamber filling with smoke from a candle and then the purifier clearing it out but I haven't edited it yet; it does however show how much air cleaning this setup is providing.

If I'm printing ABS/ASA with a plate temp of 100, the purifier on high will keep the chamber temperature around 35. On low it can get up to 42. On sleep mode (super low and quiet) 42-45. Turned off with a towel on the printer it can still get to 55-60. The main items I print are small enough that they don't suffer from warping or lifting off the bed even at chamber temps of 35.

I uploaded the files as STEP for easier mixing by others.
