Description

Where's Gnomo?… Oh No… That's Just Poop: Filament Search and Find Games

You should never play with poop… unless it's filament poop!!!

A seek and find game with a variety of ways to play, all using your printer's filament purge… its poop to hide a selection of items!

Game version 1: Jar O' Poop

Put printed game pieces into a clear jar and fill to around 2cm/1in from the top with filament purge/poop. Screw on lid tightly. Spin the spinner and see who can find the item first by shaking/rolling their jar! If you are using small “Ball/Mason” type jars it works best to use and old blender to blend the filament poop some.

Game version 2: Bag O' Poop

Put printed game pieces into large tight sealing transparent bag and fill most of the way with filament purge/poop. Close opening tightly. Spin the spinner and see who can find the item in their bag first! Spinner has scale models so this version can be played without vision.

Game version 3: Who pooped in my sock?

Put printed game pieces into large tube/crew type sock. Spin the spinner and see who can find the item in their sock first without looking! Spinner has scale models so this version can be played without vision.

Game version 4: Bucket O' Poop

Put printed game pieces in printed bucket along with enough filament poop to fill the bucket ¾ of the way full. Spin the spinner and try to find the correct item by touch only! This version is also fun for free sensory play. You can also use your extra tree supports to dig in the bucket for goodies! The Bucket was Powered by Make My Vase from MakerWorld (https://makerworld.com/makerlab/makeMyVase)

We have uploaded a blank spinner so you can add your own “game pieces” and create your own custom game!!!

Suggestions for making this learning game; letters, numbers, household objects.

To add items to the spinner in Bambu Studio:

  1. Import the items you would like to use.
  2. Select the items and the blank spinner right click and choose “assemble".
  3. Use the"Move" tool to move the items where you want them and raise them up to touch the top of the spinner, 10mm high.

Stay tuned we will be posting holiday themed sets of game pieces!!!
