NOTE: This is an add-on to the pre-existing “QUICK-CLIP : Base Starter Kit”
Post-Processing Difficulty: Easy
Tools Needed: Deburring Tool and Small Needle-Nose Pliers
Introduction & Instructions:
QUICK-CLIP is a versatile mounting system that I designed for backpack and MOLLE webbing. This is a set of mounting clips for standard Kydex sheath/holsters that I designed to go with the base starter set (found under my profile).
This comes with three different lengths of clips that can be attached to your Kydex sheaths using the sheath’s mounting hardware. I designed it to fit knife sheaths, but you should be able to mount firearm holsters as well, as it is designed to be very versatile. The clips should hold the sheath well enough to prevent it from becoming dislodged when the knife is drawn, but in the case you want to remove the entire sheath, you can easy and quickly do that as well!
These modules are attached to and removed from the mounting system in the same way as the other module clips.
The base buckle (dark gray) files are available in the base starter set. The use of locking pins with this module is not recommended or needed, as they will be upside down and may easily fall out. However, if you use the clips facing upward, the locking pins may be used to ensure that the sheath doesn’t detach when drawing your knife.
I printed this with 0.16mm layer lines with PLA with supports.
Post-Processing:
This print has very minor supports for the screw holes, which are easy removed with needle-nose pliers and smoothed with a quick pass from a deburring tool.
