Here is my addition to the Landmarks competition. Since I can't make fancy models like others, I went with a simple creation to just make myself laugh…and I hope that maybe someone else out there will like it too! I chose this theme because there was an unforgivable void of Alcatraz items on the website and I wanted a chance to try making an SVG file from a photo. It worked much better than I thought it would and oh boy, so many things to make in the future!

The Rock is one of my favourite movies and I have been wierdly fascinated by Alcatraz since I was a very young… like as in chose it as a speech topic in Grade 7 and innocently included that Al Capone died from syphilis …without looking up what it was first. Probably should have just said he “got sick” in retrospect. Live and learn. Al Capone obviously did not learn…

Annnyway, Welcome to The Rock! It's printed facedown and in green silk, basic black and grey, and matte white. Its about 200 x 200mm and 3mm thick. If you are sizing down, just take a look after slicing to make sure the lines don't disappear. I didn't adjust the size at all to know how it scales.
