These supports are designed for portable droplet barriers such as those used in classrooms. You’ll need to print two “Plexiglass Holders” and four “Braces,” either the 100mm or 150mm version depending on the height of your barrier.

The “Plexiglass Holder” fits 1/8” plexiglass or acrylic. Depending on the exact dimensions of your barrier material and print settings, they will likely fit tightly enough to remain in place on their own. Add some glue if you want them to remain in place permanently.
If you would like them to be removable but want to ensure that they don’t slip off unexpectedly, loop some 5mm or ¼” shock cord through the holes to secure them to the material. Use separate loops for barriers with tray holes (as pictured above). For barriers without tray slots, connect two “plexiglass holders” with two pieces of shock cord so that the cord stretches across the full bottom width of the barrier when the holders are in place. Print the “Plexiglass Holders” in the upright position, avoid using brim if you can.

The “braces” slide into the slots in both sides of the two “Plexiglass Holders.” A general guideline is to have your base of support measure 1/3 of the total height of the barrier. Two of the “Brace (100mm)” braces will give a total base of support of approximately 20cm, suitable for supporting barriers approximately 60cm. The “Brace (150mm)” braces will support up to 90cm.

I recommend printing the braces on their side as they are provided. Printing them in this orientation will result in a stronger print than printing upright and they will also be easier to slide in and out. The downside is that you’ll need to use some brim to ensure that the thin edge of the insert piece is held in place for the first part of the print. You’ll also have to do some post-print filing to remove all the brim so that it slides smoothly into the groove on the “Plexiglass Holder”.

I recommend adding some non-slip adhesive bumpers to the bottom of the braces.
