Description

DIY shifter for simracing.

Tools needed:

  • Soldering iron + tin
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • 2mm hex screwdriver
  • Superglue
  • (jumper wires)

Hardware needed:

  • 16 - M3x20 buttonhead screw
  • 16 - M3 brass insert
  • 2 - 626RS ball bearing
  • 2 - 6000RS ball bearing
  • 2 - M6 nut
  • 2 - 10x17 compression spring
  • 1 - 8x35 compression spring
  • 1 - 9x30 tension spring cut in half
  • 1 - M10 threaded rod cut to 55 mm length
  • 1 - M6 threaded rod cut to 70 mm length
  • 2 - microswitches - type does not matter
  • 1 - Arduino (Uno, Nano, Mega…)
  • Some wire.

The assembly process i pretty straight forward if looking at de photos. the bearings should be a slight press fit.
