Description

Flexi Bender Kit Card

A fun game or a cute ornament for your house.

A model that is easy to assemble, but requires some preparation. To obtain perfect joints you need to have a good calibration of the printer,
if the pieces do not fit together correctly, I advise you to act on the K value of your filament, modifying it to obtain a perfect fit. Not all filaments are the same, so a little patience will be needed to obtain the desired rigidity of the joints.

In the 3mf file you will find the interlocking test. print it and try to fit the two pieces together, if you have to use too much force then you need to calibrate your filament. There are two versions: Tight and Tolerance, If you had problems with the tight version, try the tolerance and maybe they fit better.

In the Print profile you will find a single-color and a multi-color version. All versions are available with tight or increased tolerance

In the Raw file you can find the single pieces without the Kit card, so if you break something, you don't have to reprint everything.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The model does not require supports from the slicer. But on the head I have prepared a support that will be created automatically and will be removed with pliers. the slicer will warn you that there are suspended areas, absolutely do not activate the supports and do not listen to this warning

EDIT 4 March 2024:

  1. Added a version with tolerance for those who have interlocking problems
  2. Head support modified and implemented for better results.
  3. Added two plates with all the spare parts

printed the looser print on my A1 mini with AMS lite. still a bit tight except for the shoulders. great looking print. if anyone (if I get time) does a remix, would love the cigar, and if his belly door opened.

Other Issues:tolerance too tight on the snap together parts, couldn't get the little leg and arm pieces to fit together

if I look at your photo I see a wet filament, a lot of stringing and inconsistent extrusion. you must dry the filament before printing. if you look at the original profile you can find two versions. one tight and one with tolerance. you need to print the "fit test" before printing and test what settings are best for you.

Hello, the prints of the test are the same of the kit card. I tried differents filaments. and the only one that make problems is the silk filament. Tomorrow i'll upload a version with more tollerance to avoid this problems. what filament did you use?

After your comment i printed another Bender with another filament. this is a Bambulab yellow Matte PLA. And the pieces fits. sometimes you need to apply a little bit of rotation when you push the parts in the other. sometimes you need to use a little bit of force, and sometimes not. There can always be small variations between one piece and another and between one filament and another. This could be solved with a little bit of sanding.

thank you. the shoulders and eyes fit perfect on the 0.8 layer with tolerance but all the ball joints would not snap together and the legs wouldn't slide into the body. I'll try the new one when I open another filament spool
