Description

I created this Spool holder because I don't like how the spool on the original holder that is attached to the printer burrs when the printer is calibrating. At the same time, the original Bambu Lab holders are not wide enough for larger spools, this one can handle all the 1 kilogram spools I had available. For proper operation, use the variant with standard ball bearings. You will need 4 bearings.

 

If you don't have bearings, rollers are included as an alternative, which can be used without bearings, but they work well especially with a full spool, empty spools probably won't be able to turn with the rollers, but the filament will still unwind well!

  • 4x 608 ZZ ball bearings (8mm x 22mm x 7mm)

Printing from PLA is not a problem, but PET-G will be more suitable.

 

Printing simply without supports.

I have printed the version without bearings. Due to the higher degree of friction, the rollers stop earlier when unrolling and there is no annoying rolling.
