Description

Summary

Stackable storage solution with drawer-like access. The storage unit has 2 versions: Solid and with hexagonal cutout pattern. Choose whatever suits you best. Print time for both is roughly the same.

USE AS STACKABLE STORAGE:

  • Simply print more than one storage unit. Put one on top of the other.

USE AS DRAWER ACCESSIBLE STORAGE:

  • Print 2 storage frames (choose between x2 or x3, just make sure you print 2 of the same)
  • Print 4 or 6 stabilizer bars (4 for the x2 frames, 6 for the x3 frames). You WILL need all of them to get a stable frame!
  • Print 2 or 3 storage units (2 for the x2 frames, 3 for the x3 frames)
  • Assembly is simple!

ADDITIONAL INFO FOR THE x2 FRAMES:

  • The x2 frames has two files; one for the bottom parts (print 2 of these) and a file for the top parts (if you want to take the chance of stacking them on top of eacher, print two of these; it will work but the resulting "tower" will be less sturdy).

Notes:

So, I wrote 0.3mm layer height and 0.45mm layer width. That's what I used and they did print very fast. Be careful of how much volumetric volume your printer can handle at these layer heights; I'll suggest 200mm/s maximum, to ensure the hotend can keep up.

You can of course print at 0.2mm layer height and the normal 0.4mm layer width.

No support is needed anywhere!

Rafts is not needed for any of the prints EXCEPT the stabilizer bars, which tend to go off the bed if you print too fast. So PRINT THE STABILIZER BARS ON A RAFT. To save time and material, you can make the raft only 3 layers thick; one top layer instead of the usual two.
