After opening the tomb, you see a gold canister. Curious about its contents, you decide to open it, only to find your medications. Yuck!
This cryptex is not a puzzle so don't worry about having no access to your medications. The device is based on friction to keep all parts together. I am working on a improved locking/thread system, but for now, as I am still improving my 3D-modelling skills it is friction fit. The parts have 0mm clearance! Make sure to scale the parts if needed for your printer.
The total project time depends on how you want to customize your project for your needs. For example, if you want to use multi-color to create the rings, the time would increase. Or if you want stronger parts and use a lower layer height time would increase as well. While prototyping this project each part took around 2 hours to print single color @ 0.12mm layer height on my Ender 3 v2 NEO with Klipper.
The assembly is pretty straight forward. The only thing to know is that the rings have a specific notch pattern. That is so the rings will always be rotated correctly.
