Description

3d miniature of Mount Everest in Asia!

Model created in Blender using data primarily from the Blosm addon.

This is my first terrain-inspired miniature! Let me know if you would like to see more like this in the future, as well as what areas you would like to see!

Check out my collection of other miniatures: https://makerworld.com/en/u/1935755220/collections/146964

Framing Details

This model measures almost exactly 6.8in by 4.8in (170.5mm X 119.5mm) and should fit most 5x7 frames (assuming frame lip/overlap is around a quarter inch). Feel free to change the scale/size of the model(s) to meet your needs.

Personally I use these cheap frames from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8HY7YSQ

I also included a fully printable frame (including a 1mm thick water plate) designed to fit all my miniatures.

Gif of the Printable Frame

A frame is not required! This model looks great by itself and can be displayed almost anywhere.

Wow, the textures of the mountains are so detailed, great job with this one - I think the terrain models are ingenious. It would be really cool it if you could make this a part a new collection of all the Seven Summits. Other terrain-based landmarks I had thought would be interesting for you to model include the Great Wall of China (I heard Mutianyu or Badaling are popular sections), Mount Rushmore, Mt Vesuvius/Pompeii, the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam, and Uluru/Ayers Rock.

very cool! a neat idea would be to use the AMS and make the tip of the mountain a different color showing it’s the highest point on earth.

Your work is really great, thanks so much for sharing! Your creation has inspired me a lot. As a mapping practitioner, I am now working on printing realistic models obtained through drones and 3D laser scanners. I hope you can give me valuable suggestions!
