Star Wars Pirate Snub Fighter Mk2 1 18th Scale The Mandalorian

Star Wars Pirate Snub Fighter Mk2 1 18th Scale The Mandalorian 3D print model

Description

This Pirate Snub-fighter (R-41 Starchaser) Sci-fi Vehicle Set is not set up for CGI use and therefore includes no texture files and is not UV unwrapped. This model is intended for use with a 3D Printer to create a physical model of the asset.

This second version of this model takes on board feedback given regarding the first iteration of the asset, but was always something that was planned, a more complex version that takes things further with this model. And this means the inclusion of a fully detailed interior cockpit with opening canopy which can fit inside a 3.75 inch action figure. New interchangable parts to facilitate various display options, including landing gear doors and deployed landing gear components. This allows for display in flight or in a landed configuration. There are also optional parts that give you the option to produce a screen accurate version of the interior, or chunkier versions of some of the smaller components to make them less fiddly to work with, and less likely to break, and in fact could just display better at the chosen scale.

As a result, this asset contains many more files than the original's 18 parts, the Mk.2 is made up of some 70 STL files (706MB), some of which will need multiple copies printed (details of these can be found in the accompanying Readme file) that will allow you to print the parts necessary to build this starfighter model kit.

Also included are a number of promotional shots, renders of the CG asset, intended to assist you in your building of the model and illustrating clearly where all the parts need to go. The cockpit, for example, has an image that has a great deal of the detailed parts for it noted on it for easy reference.

This spacecraft model design was inspired by the Pirate Starfighters that appeared in the Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian Season 3. I have created the most accurate representation of this vehicle possible given the limited reference available at this time, that being primarily screengrabs from the show, and the concept art featured in the show's end credits. As such, this model may not be entirely accurate to the screen used asset, and creative license has been used where reference for an area just isn't available. However it is still most likely the most accurate model of this vehicle currently around, especially with the new additional detailing of the interior, and painstaking efforts have been made to make this model as accurate as possible. But at the end of the day, this is my interpretation of this ship.

The native scale of this model is intended to be 1:18 scale (Approx 16 inches wide by 18.5 inches long) , which means this thing is pretty big, The final model at native scale is well over 30 cm long, and will fit in with vehicles intended for use with 3.75 inch action figures. The classic Star Wars action figure scale. So this model should not look out of place beside an official The Vintage Collection vehicle collectible.

I hope you enjoy, and have lots of fun with it.
