Stark Axe - Frieren Beyond Journeys End

Stark Axe - Frieren Beyond Journeys End 3D print model

Description

Starks axe from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End / Sousou no Frieren

This is 3d model (OBJ/STL) of said axe for cosplay purposes, total heigh of it is 148 cm.

All 3d files are cut and oriented to fit 20cm * 20cm *25 cm 3d printed (eg. it will fit on Ender 3). Lots of parts are oriented with 45 degree angle and will need supports, this is for better part durability while keeping it printable without any complications. There is also a file which contain whole axe as 1 part.

Since it's pretty big, it can be disassembled 6 pieces for easier travel arrangements. Parts along stick path are screwable, big axe head is hold by metal rod and small axe head by few m3 screws, but everything can be glued if you don't care about that.

There are 5 rar files, simply download Stark axe (all in one) - 0.25 inch rod.rar or Stark axe (all in one) - 5mm rod.rar and you should have all what you need. Otherwise you can also download Stark axe (2 of 2) - universal parts.rar and one of Stark axe (1 of 2) - 0.25 inch rod parts.rar / Stark axe (1 of 2) - 5mm rod parts.rar

What you will need (optional):

metal rod (for better sturdiness) - the model has 0,5mm clearance for this rod

  • 5mm (diameter) x 1m (length) and 5mm (diameter) x 20cm (length)

OR

  • 1/4'' (diameter) x 48'' (length) and 1/4'' (diameter) x 8" (length) - this will loose bit of portability since bottom metal and wooden parts will need to be glued together (use 'bottom_metal_stick_0.25x48 inch' part)

OR

  • 1/4'' (diameter) x 40'' (length) and 1/4'' (diameter) x 8" (length) - eg. just cut 48'' rod to two (use 'bottom_metal_stick_0.25x40 inch' part)

for small axe-head

  • up to 6x 8mm (up to 13mm) m3 screws
  • up to 6x heat inserts - M3 x D5.0 x L8.0 (can be shorter)

Notes:

  • The cone part on top has 1 full layer that separates bottom and top part of rod slot, it's there for support prevention, just cut it out with exacto knife.
  • Spike and cone parts can be printed as 1 part, but it's better to print them in 2 parts. If they are printed as 1 part, the spike on top can end up bit misaligned when the cone is tightly screwed in place.
  • The screw caps are individual files, this is mainly to prevent them from being sanded down when you will work on the spots around their holes. Just glue them in the end of assembly.
  • Also there are axe head inserts, their purpose is to prevent the slots from cracking during travel.
