Intended use
For storage of: Tools / nozzles / grease / tweezers / screws / pliers and so on.
The tool tower
Required installation space size 25cm Wide - 25cm Long - 25cm High
In the design, I made sure that everything is modular, so the hinges, the retaining bolt, the rotating handle and so on, can be quickly installed or removed if there is ever a defect.
The box layout inside can also be taken out and easily adapted to your own needs using the FreeCAD program.
The box above
I'll start with the hinges, there are 2 versions, the hinge top is the same for both versions, only the hinge bottom changes.
What would also be important, the hinges / grab handle should be printed with PLA CF with at least 50% filling or more, because quite a bit of weight already adds up. I had at the weighing me a train scale around 4 kg at the handle (with a box and 2 drawer boxes) with tools / nozzles / grease and what you have so for the 3D printing hobby.
To the hinges
If the lid is equipped with the hinge base - version 1, the lid can be folded all the way down until it hits an object.
If the lid is equipped with the hinge base -version 2, the lid can be folded open so that the lid remains slightly tilted back (I personally like these variants best) but tastes are different.
The top box has a magnetic twist handle that locks on two points by magnetism, position 1 (CLOSED) and position 2 (OPEN) this prevents the lock from opening itself when carried or lifted.
The complete interior layout can be taken out and eventually adjusted to your own needs

Interior of the upper box
Tool box with lid / magnetic wall / magnetic rotating handle.
The top tool box has a magnetic wall built into the lid, from which you can hang various tools.
The magnetic wall is attached with 5 screws in the lid, the screws have a dual function, they hold not only the magnetic wall, but also the twist handle / carrying handle and part of the top hinges.
There are 2 variations as my wife prefers different divisions like me π
The variations are not compatible among each other.
In the downloaded files, the interior files are always marked with (Variant 1 or Variant 2), so you know what is compatible together. For a better overview are in the image gallery 2 images with numbering, there you can see where which box finds its correct place.
.
Drawer box with drawer and magnetic lock.
The lower part
The drawer box is attached to the upper box with 4 screws, since I have also provided holes in the bottom of the drawer box, you can build as many drawer boxes underneath (for a lot of tools π). More than two I personally would not screw underneath, because then already real weight comes together π.
The drawers can be equipped with 6 magnets to prevent slipping out when moving, transport. The drawer is pulled when sliding from a certain point to the back wall and is also held there quite well. I have made the experience (that for me personally 2 pairs of magnets are quite enough), but I have provided recesses for 3 pairs of magnets. I also made sure that the three magnets in the drawer box (back wall) can be pushed out again, because I have provided three small holes on the back. In case the magnets hold too well or you put the magnets in with the wrong polarity. The magnets are only inserted, and sit nice and tight in the recesses, but this will vary from printer to printer, I can only speak of the experience with my printers, I'm just quite new to the 3D printing hobby π(glue you could of course also)π.
There are also three small holes in the back of the drawer to push the magnets back out.
