3D model description
This is a very detailed and accurate 1:1 scale Éowyn's sword from the Lord of the Rings.
This is the sword Éowyn used in the iconic scene where she kills the Witch-King of Angmar, Lord of the Nazgûl.
The model was created using a lot of reference images of the real sword, from different angles, to keep it very movie accurate.
Inside the zip file you will find 8 different versions you can print (A to H).
Each versions is cut into more or less pieces so you can fit/maximize any 3D printer build volume.
BUT! the model itself is EXACTLY THE SAME on all versions.
Check the "Version Guide" image to understand where all the different versions were cut to help you choose the one that fits your printer.
(If for some reason none of the 8 versions is to your liking you can always use Version_H, which is the whole sword, to make your own cuts that suit your needs.
To join all the pieces together I have included an octogonal Peg.
Print as many of these as necessary for the version you chose and join everything together.
IMPORTANT: Print the Pegs horizontally. This makes them stronger when used in the vertically printed holes so they don't snap in half.
Since every printer has different tolerances I have included a "TestPiece" which you can print to test-fit the pegs into the holes.
So print a TestPiece and a Peg and see if it fits. If it doesn't fit, change the size of the Peg slightly in your slicer software (like 99%) and try again.
Change the Peg size until you are satisfied with the tightness of the join. If you plan to use glue it doesn't need to be very tight.
You can also use the TestPiece to test other print settings quickly.
Lastly there is also a file called "LittleCube" which is just a detail for the pommel.
Print two of them and attach them to the pommel.
Hope you like it! And if you have any questions just send me a message.
PS: Check the "Version Guide" image. It explains everything.
