Lattice Tower Trophy
Lattice Tower Trophy

Here is one of my trophy entries for the 3D Printing Industry Awards 2020. A translucent shroud covers a lattice tower. The shroud is all rounded and twisting which contrasts with the straight segments and sharp angles of the triangle mesh-like lattice of the tower structure. The triangles represent a mesh that is used when converting a 3D model to .STL files for 3d printing. The detailed shroud shows the intricate patterns and shapes possible.
The bottom of the base has the text of 3D Printing Industry Awards which is holding up the rest of the trophy. It is not embossed or debossed, it is the title of the trophy that holds up the trophy. Flipping the trophy upside-down, there is the Protolabs logo debossed into the “roof” of the base.
