This is a marble sculpture depicting Venus with a Mirror. The name of the sculptor is unknown as the archival information is missing and only the name remains. This copy can be found in Warandepark in Brussels. Venus depicted with a mirror is a surprisingly rare sight in art, especially sculpture. The most well known piece of art depicting the scene is Titian's painting (oil on canvas) of 1555. Venus gazes at her reflection in a mirror held aloft by Cupid, while a second putto reaches up to crown her with a wreath of flowers.
