Morakniv Eldris knife sharpening tool 3D print model

Morakniv Eldris has a curved edge which is hard to sharpen - the angle is hard to keep constant as you roll with the edge on the stone or the strop. To help with sharpening, I made an attachment, which locks on to the blade and holds a constant 15 degrees angle in contact with the stone along the entire edge. It can make the knife shaving sharp :)

Sharpening instructions (nothing new here, but...):

1. start with a rough stone (as low as 180 grid). Scrape one side until you shape a bur along the entire edge. Then flip the knife, and scrape untile the entire bur flips to the other side.
2. Move to a finer stone (I jump right to 800 or 1000 grid from step one). Again grind the bur until it flips to the other side on full length of the edge. Then flip the bur to the other side.
3. Once the bur is flipped with a fine stone - it will be hard to notice. At this point either move to a very fine stone (2000 or higher), or start to strop it. Two strokes on each side of the edge, repeated many times, until the bur is completely gone (can not detect it on either side of the knife).
