MCE2VGA or EGA2VGA case shell 3dprint 3D print model

Description

This 3d print model is designed to fit the MCE2CGA 2.0. It is for a MDA/CGA/EGA to VGA board project. A collegue of mine bought it without having any protection for it so he asked me to design this. It fits the hardware assembly originally designed by Luis Antoniosi, version 2.00 with the extended board on top.

My design is inspired by two models. first a model on thingyverse with misalined vga spacers and no buttons also less refined. The second model i was insired by is a good working model from serdaco webshop without all connectors reachable, that is sadly not sold seperately. This is why i made this fully connectable better version of the present models, it worked for us so i expect it to work for you too. This is tested with the Waveshare CoreEP4Ce6 on top installed.

All connections are reachable and the case is fitted with working buttons! also i think my design is nicer than the other two i found. But thats taste :)

print instruction:

Brim: yes

Supports: Yes (only on the baseplate not the closing parts)

rotation: see slicer image

Infill: 25

0.20 for the case, print each part separate not at the same time,

0.10 for the buttons. print those 4x times of course

my Prusa MK3s handle's the overhang/bridge parts on the closing hinges just fine. If you use support on the closing hinges it will be hard to get out on this size. I broke my first model with support in the hinges so yeah take my word for it.

Happy printing!
