How to Customize Your Dice

Step 1: Choose Your Base Design - Start by selecting the type of dice you want to create, from tradition, emoji, or custom text.

Step 2: Adjust the Size - Use easy sliding scales to change the size of the dice, chamfer percent, font size, text depth and more. 
Step 3: Customize the Dice -

• Traditional: If you selected the traditional dice option, under the size setting you can adjust the size of the pip (dice holes) under the size settings.
• Emoji: If you've selected the Emoji route, please expand the Emoji section. This list is designed to make selecting emoji's very easy for example, you can create one that has different cuisine options to leave your dinner plans to chance!
• Custom Text: If you've selected the Custom Text route, please expand the Custom Text section. You can enter, words, numbers, or other emojis not provided in the previous dropdowns.
  • Rotate your dice around to see if you need to update the text to be shorter or go back and change the font size to ensure all of the letters fit.

Step 4: Click Generate - Now spin around the model and ensure that all of the sides look exactly as you want them. Feel free to go back and make changes.

Step 5: Click Download - Select the Download 3MF file option and you can send it to the printer in no time. Happy rolling your new favorite dice.

Tips

• More Details: If you select complex emojis for your dice, you may want to try the adaptive layer height setting to ensure it prints the detail as expected. While we designed this to work with the most standard 0.4mm nozzle, if you would like more intricate details, consider using a 0.2mm nozzle. 
• Mind the Margins: Ensure that your designs have enough margin from the edges of the dice. This helps prevent parts of your design from getting cut off during the printing process.
• Mix and Match Elements: Don't hesitate to mix emojis or custom text to create unique and functional dice. This can add a fun twist to your gaming experience.
• Check for Updates: Stay updated with MakerWorld for any new features or improvements in the Parametric Model Maker. These updates might offer new customization options or improved tools.
