Description

Adapter for the 16MP IMX519 Arducam and the pre soldered ringlight to properly mount them on the openscan mini scanner.

During assembly of the scanner I had problems mounting and aligning the camera and the ringlight properly because there was no adapter available and the solutions without one were fiddly and did not fit so well.

The original concept of the adapter can be seen in the official openscan mini documentaion and is named “slide-in mount”. Unfortunately there are no model or stl files available for the slide-in mount so I built my own.

I am no big fan to squeeze the camera in a 3D part so I used screw domes for the camera. You will need at least 2 M2 screws to mount the camera (M2x4 or M2x6 are fine)

The lens should not touch the ringlight PCB if the adapter printed ok

Once the camera and ringlight are mounted, use M3x12 screws to attach everything to the scanner. (like in the official documentation for the slide-in mount) Tske care that you don't damage the cable when fastening the screw on the bottom left.

Note that this is Version 1 of the adapter so I would be very happy about feedback and suggestions for improvement in the comments.
