Description

This 3D printer model is designed for creating a raised cat feeder, which elevates the feeding platform to a more comfortable height for your cat. Most raised feeders in the market are not very high, and seem to be innefective. The design is optimized for ease of printing, requiring no supports, and can be printed with a the lightning infill to save onfilament while maintaining structural integrity. You can use any filament as the cat will not be eating directly from the plastic, but rather from a bowl.

The model as space on the bottom to include a weight. I am using a 2kg weight.

I included two models, the original and a scaled down version. The original has a hole with 13.5cm for the bowl and 19cm for the weight. The scaled down version has a hole with 12cm for the bowl and 16.9cm for the weight.

Design Features:

  • Ergonomic Height: Raises the food bowl to reduce neck strain in cats, making it easier for them to eat, especially beneficial for older cats or those with arthritis.
  • Stable Base: Designed to prevent tipping and sliding, ensuring a mess-free feeding area.
  • Easy to Clean: Smooth surfaces and detachable components make it simple to wash and maintain.

Why should your cat eat from a Raised Feeder:
A raised cat feeder offers several health benefits for cats, which include better posture during eating, reduced strain on the neck and joints, and improved digestion. Elevated feeders can also help prevent issues like vomiting and "scarf and barf", where cats eat too quickly and regurgitate their food.
