Description
A simple case for reshelling a generic RF remote from AliExpress. Includes a template for you to design or integrate it to your projects, as well as a generic case to get started. These are cheap 433Mhz remotes have 1-4 buttons. The ones with 1-3 buttons share the same PCB and can be used interchangeably. See the last picture for which models are compatible with the template/case.
Requirements
There three versions of the case available:
Print & Assembly
Simply screw the 4 M2 screws into each corner. The sample cover has a small peg to actuate the center button. If you are embedding a design (like an icon) into the cover, you might want to use the version that uses inserts, as repeated removals of the covers will wear out the threads. Print the cover with the front facing the build plate.
For the “Light Switch” file, print following the same orientation in the 3MF file. The smaller cover has rectangular protrusions within the recessed screw head so the slicer it won't try to print circles in the air.
For the accompaning RF receiver module, it requires 4x 8x2mm round magnets glued to the rear. I purchased a few modules, some of which fit snug while others need a bit of double sided adhesive to remain firm, so your mileage my vary.
